
The green coffee bean’s long journey to become an exquisite brew first begins at the source: Arabica or Robusta green coffee beans are cleaned, graded and sorted using modern machinery. The preeminent SoCGra step will set the tone for the entire coffee process.

Pristine green coffee beans experience the first phase of transformation. Our state-of-the-art fully automated roasting machine turns drab green coffee beans into roasted coffee beans of impeccable quality. An automated process ensures that each batch is masterfully roasted unerringly, leaving doubt and inconsistency firmly at the door.

Using a patented double-extraction and aroma recovery process, roasted coffee beans – extracted under high pressure with superheated water – yield alluring but volatile aromatic essences, separated from its viscous body, known as the hydrolysate: Both are obtained with remarkable capacity; the latter destined for concentration via gentle evaporation.

Before evaporation, the hydrolysate undergoes two processes: centrifugation and the finer clarification to remove coarse and insoluble extracted coffee matter. The clarified hydrolysate may now enter into a state-of-the-art “falling-film” evaporative system, which gently wicks away water content so as to protect the hydrolysate’s integrity. The end product of the evaporative process is a High Concentrate Hydrolysate (HCH) – a luscious dark nectar – predetermined for use as Liquid Coffee Concentrate and Spray Dried Instant Coffee.

The penultimate step to producing Liquid Coffee Concentrate and Spray Dried Instant Coffee is the mixing step, where volatile aromatic essences are tenderly infused back into High Concentrate Hydrolysate, creating an intoxicating, velvety brew known simply as the “mixed product”.

“A delectable concoction from our finest Arabica or Robusta beans – a bespoke ambrosia for the discerning connoisseur.” Flash-pasteurization is a process that expediently pasteurizes the mixed product without altering the coffee’s character. Mixed product that undergoes this process may be packed into drums or pails and stored safely in cold storage at -18°C. This flash-pasteurized nectar will triumph the senses of even the most exacting standards.

The mixed product is spray-atomized in a large vacuous chamber; a multi-stage process ensures successful encapsulation of the coffee’s bouquet in an ephemeral shell, thus completing the transmutation into a gilded solid. This delicate powder is scrupulously collected and hygienically packed in plastic-lined carton boxes.
